About

Namaste! Thanks for visiting. With content prolific all around us, we feel truly privileged that you spent some of your time on our blog.

We are Pankaja & Kishore, two Third Culture Kids obsessed with travel, materially fascinated with people & cultures around the world; two wayfarers with tales to tell.

We first met in Oregon & discovered our mutual love for travel, photography, food & culture. Columbia River Gorge & its environs had the magic sauce; spellbinding waterfalls, lush greenery, tireless hikes, hunts for the perfect photo spot & long conversations at our favorite vegetarian eats in Portland. These common bonds took deep root, and this first visit led to many others, each one drawing us closer. Somehow, our passion for travel has but increased over the years – we still get giddy as school kids thinking of our next travel prospect.

We do not have a distinctive travel style – we splurge on the occasional travel & stretch our value via budget travel. Culture & history has an equal pull as does nature. We also draw different things from our travels. For Pankaja, travel feeds into her design sensibility & allows her to channel new ideas into her textile design work. For Kishore, it is about chasing light with his camera gear, and trying to make that one perfect shot happen. It is also a welcome respite from the crazy hours in his IT work, and allows him to reinvigorate.

The idea for a blog was born out of purely selfish motives; to record our experiences & to easily showcase our photography portfolio to friends & family. At least for the near future, we aim to keep it this way. Ad free, full of tips & helpful information for intrepid travelers, and stock full of photos to inspire the uncommitted. For the occasional few that have stumbled into our world via a google search, we welcome you, and hope you find this blog helpful.

Do leave us a note and let us know what you liked/disliked. It would mean so much to the both of us.

Peace.
